International Camp is run with the support of Essex Young People as members of the Service Team.

Service Team members help out in the dining room at meal times, set up and clear the entertainment areas and help to run the Night Café.

You'd be a member of one of four teams working in a rota to ensure that as well as helpings things run smoothly you also get to join in the activities on the camp. We allocate everyone to a multi-national village and you'll be supporting the Village Leader to organise village activities both at Mersea and while on the residential. These activities will help everyone from whatever country make as many friends as possible!

This experience can also be used for participants to gain the residential section of the Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award.

In return for your help we can offer Service Team members a reduced rate of £50. This includes all accommodation, meals, activities and off site trips. We're looking for people with lots of energy and initiative, who can work in a team, are supportive of others and who have a desire to meet people from lots of different countries and further the aims of the camp.
